ABOUT cividas

cividas consists of a set of solutions directed towards Public Administration, ranging from the implementation of an e-Government, to the detailed management of specific areas such as social services, grants and subsidies, contracts and tenders or employment office; asides from having an solution that adapts to the most common needs of local entities. The cividas e-GOV platform for e-Government works as the base for these solutions, having all that is necessary for the introduction of the new information and communication technologies for administrations, as well as improving their efficiency, while optimizing the interaction with citizens.

cividas helps Administrations to face the new challenges of the current economic, political and social situation in which the economical resources are scarce, the regulatory requirements continue to grow and citizens become more demanding. In addition, the number of services offered by local entities (municipalities) are increasing as well. Therefore it is necessary for them to change the focus of their efforts towards improving the performance of services offered to citizens, considering them as a client that must be conquered, assisted and satisfied.

With the implementation of communication channels such as an Electronic Office, the Administration and citizens can interact over the Internet, without having to move and without time restrictions and delays, which eliminates the costs associated with personal assistance for common routine tasks such as fulfilling a certification request, a construction permit, a school admission, sending an administrative notification, etc.

From an internal point of view, the Administration improves its performance thanks to the implementation of tools and working methods that adapt to the reality of a public employee and allow for greater flexibility throughout their work. Centralized document storage, automation of repetitive tasks, multichannel notification management, or electronic signature, are some of these tools. Just as important is having a well-managed administration, with tools that allow government managers to monitor their employees work, and quantify citizen needs, being able to administer the services, and the way in which they are offered, optimally.

  1. What are the benefits of an e-Government?
    • A more efficient organization thanks to the optimization of the working time of employees, in which the costs associated to on-site citizen services are reduced.
    • Citizen satisfaction with the services provided by the Public Administration, thanks to the higher agility of procedure processing, the possibility for the citizen of performing them online, transparency when it comes to the tracking procedure status and access to public and unified information concerning requirements, deadlines, etc.
    • Public employees see how their routine work is simplified, allowing them to devote more time to providing high value services. Because they know their tasks, they can use forms that  automate most of this work and, in addition, they can generate documents directly from the data record and have quick access to all necessary information and documentation.
    • An open administration with tools that enable managers for optimal decision making based on the actual performance of the resources used.
  2. What advantages does cividas offer over other solutions?
    • The convenience of defining and creating procedures without having to program, which highly simplifies its implementation.
    • The flexible execution of processes provides greater freedom when organizing internal work within the administration, because the procedural steps do not necessarily require a particular execution order.
    • The possibility of implementing workflows and particularly complex formalities, thanks to the platform for rapid application development on which it is based. For example, a processing form can be as complex as a transactional application or a procedure may involve interaction with other systems, etc.
    • The advantage of being able to implement changes and improvements in real time and while the system is running, without the platform performance being affected.
  3. What technology does cividas use?

    • Servers: Windows and Linux.
    • Users: Windows, Linux and MacOS.
    • Mobile: Android and iOS.
    • Case Management: requires Java virtual machine.
